SEO audit · AI visibility

Know what is
holding you back.

Find crawl problems, missing service content and gaps in Google and AI visibility. Get a prioritized action plan tied to qualified inquiries.

A diagnosis you can act on.

Burnworth Co.’s search visibility audit reviews how your website is found, understood and used by prospective customers. Brandon Burnworth connects the findings to changes that can be implemented on the site.

You receive a prioritized issue list, a page and topic map, a search and AI visibility baseline, and a 90-day action plan. Each recommendation explains the evidence, the affected pages, the proposed fix and how to verify it.

Implementation can be scoped separately or included in the Search Growth Program. The audit is useful for an existing service business that needs to know why a website is not attracting the right inquiries.

What gets checked.

  • Discovery: robots rules, sitemap coverage, indexability and internal links.
  • Technical behavior: response codes, redirects, duplicate URLs, canonical tags and content available without JavaScript.
  • Buyer needs: whether service pages explain what you do, who it fits and what a customer should do next.
  • Business identity: company and founder information, contact consistency and confusion with similarly named businesses.
  • Evidence: project detail, authorship, source quality and unsupported claims.
  • Measurement: whether analytics distinguish useful inquiries from spam, tests and button clicks.

How AI visibility is tested.

We first agree on a fixed set of buyer questions. Brand-name questions test whether a platform understands you; unbranded questions test discovery. They are reported separately.

Each recorded answer includes the exact question, platform, date, location setting where available, whether web search was used, the businesses mentioned and the cited URLs. A mention of your company and a link to your website are different observations.

We repeat comparable tests over time. A failed or unavailable test is recorded as unavailable, not as a zero. Search results from one engine are not presented as live answers from another platform.

Three useful rates are brand mentions divided by completed answers, your-domain citations divided by completed answers, and accurate descriptions divided by answers describing the brand. The denominator and sample size appear with the result.

Platform reporting provides another source of evidence. Bing’s AI Performance report exposes citation activity across its supported experiences; citation counts are not a position ranking.

Fix blockers before expanding content.

A real crawl failure comes before an optional article. A wrong phone number comes before extra schema properties. A confusing core service page comes before a new location page.

The plan groups work by business impact and dependency. Technical access comes first, then core service clarity, supporting proof and measurement. This helps a small business avoid spending its content budget on pages that cannot yet be discovered or do not help buyers decide.

Bring the business context.

Send your website, the services you want to sell, your real service area and any competitors customers mention. Search Console and analytics access improve the diagnosis; a public-site review can still identify technical and content issues without them.

Audit pricing depends on the number of pages, locations and platforms in scope. We agree on the scope before work starts.
